NANCY BRAVO

Nancy Bravo has a major in communication and is an intercultural expert, speaker, certified trainer, and author. She founded the agency Bravo Intercultural, focused on intercultural formation and business. She works with international companies, universities, and entrepreneurs.

Her mission is to help people understanding the cultural differences to break the invisible boundaries of the global business world, in order to develop a functioning global experience without frustrations.

In 2021 her first book "¡BRAVO! Soy internacional” was published.

Nancy Bravo’s work as an intercultural trainer consists of supporting international corporations, helping her clients to sensitize interculturally and thus optimizing the performance of internationally working teams. At the same time, she is a lecturer at different German Universities, giving classes about cultural differences and their challenges in the business world.

She is part of a bicultural German-Mexican family – biculturality and interculturality play an important role in her life since the year 2000.

Her work as a “cultural bridge-builder” is divided into two major areas: On one hand there is the task of professional intercultural training, on the other international business development. Therefor she is the Business Development Responsible at Expandeers, a multilingual global professional network of senior business development experts, providing reliable expansion support to SME around the world.

Nancy is as well member and ambassador of the international women network SHE-Seminario Mujeres Emprendedoras.

As a communications major, she has a vast experience in the mass media (print, online, radio and TV – editor in chief) as well as in companies of the private sector in Mexico and Germany. For this reason, she continuously publishes articles or is being interviewed by different mass media in Mexico and Germany.

ELIZABETH COLVIN

Elizabeth Colvin is the Manager of Global Education at the Cleveland Council on World Affairs. She is responsible for a cross-cultural communication training program, a globally minded leadership development experience for young professionals, and professional development programming focused on supporting educators' capabilities for teaching global issues.

Elizabeth previously worked as an elementary school English Language Arts teacher with Breakthrough Schools and served as a 2015 Teach for America corps member. She is a Georgetown University alumnus with a B.A. in Government and Art History and holds a M.S.Ed. from Johns Hopkins University's School of Education.

EMILY GIBSON

Emily Gibson is the Director of Curriculum at the Close Up Foundation, and has worked at Close Up since 2012. Close Up is a civic education non-profit that informs, inspires, and empowers young people to exercise the rights and accept the responsibilities of citizens in a democracy.

Since 1971 Close Up has worked with over one million students and teachers from the United States and around the world. As the Director of Curriculum, Emily oversees all of Close Up’s curriculum development, the training of program instructors, and professional development for teachers.

Before coming to Close Up Emily taught English and history to middle and high school students in Philadelphia. Emily attended Northern Arizona University and majored in History and Art History, and received her teaching certification from the University of Pennsylvania.

NATHALIE POURCEL

Dr. Nathalie Pourcel teaches English at the International high school, Jules Guesde, Montpellier, France, and is also in charge of the international relations of the school, which works with more than thirty-five high schools worldwide. Jules Guesde high school offers eight foreign languages to its students, and has got international, bilingual, and European classes.

Dr. Nathalie Pourcel develops students international mobilities with European and non-European destinations on an individual basis by selecting students according to their motivation and profiles. She organises international forums with partner schools and promotes the Region of Occitanie and France abroad. She manages an Erasmus accreditation program as well.

Besides, she is the author of the book The aesthetics of the sublime in the paintings after William Shakespeare by Henry Fuseli (1741-1825) and is currently writing the novel ‘The nightmare’ by Henry Fuseli: The ghost of a lifetime, due to be published early September 2022 in partnership with the Jacquemard-André Museum located in Paris.

NOOR ALCHIKH

Noor Alchikh, holds a PhD in history from the Universitat Rovira i Virgilli, Tarragona, Spain, within the program ''Historical Societies, Territory and Heritage''. She is a member of the UNESCO chair for intercultural dialogue in the mediterranean since 2011. 

Currently, she works as a coordinator at the International Office of CETT-UB(Barcelona, Spain)where she is also a lecturer in areas of contemporary history, gender, and cultural studies.

Dr. Alchikh is the coordinator of the Cross Cultural Management Program at CETT-UB, a program that helps students develop skills such as intercultural intelligence,leadership of diverse teams, the different international organizational cultures and the negotiation techniques according to culture.

Dr. Alchikh is originally from Syria but she lived in different countries during the last 13 years including Spain, Greece, Tunisia and Germany.
